In this clip, David Lynch expresses a simple view concerning the trend of films to be funded by explicit product placement. Advertising VS Art.

I sit on both sides of the fence, making my money in the former while enjoying making the latter . If showcasing a mobile phone prominently in your film allows you to actually make most of the film you wanted to make, would you swallow your artistic integrity and grab the money just so you could make something? Anything?
